Meeting Parameters

We were presented with a polypropylene fibre sample for a food-based product, which needed to meet very specific technical requirements.

This included a thorough review of application weight, thickness, surface finish, density and absorbency in order to deliver a food-approved fabric that would not shred and contaminate the product.

Our innovations team identified the necessary fibres to exceed the client’s requirements. We carried out a small trial followed by a scaled-p production and full commercialisation.

As trials developed, valuable data was made available involving processing, running speeds, coating, and end-product performance. This empowered us to enhance the client’s product even further, which delighted stakeholders across the supply chain.
