Face Masks

With innovation in our DNA, we have produced technical fabrics which have been used in the manufacture of revolutionary face masks, capable of handling the ozone generated by infra-red welding, whilst also being suitable for high-speed manufacturing on ultra-sonic welding machines.

Our materials are manufactured with a high-specification activated carbon which removes organic and acid gas compounds from the working environment.

What are technical fabrics used for in face masks?

We create unique facemasks that prioritise:

  • The protection of workforces from dangerous gas exposure
  • The neutralisation of organic and acidic gases and vapors
  • Compatibility with spunbond in polyester and polypropylene

The adaptability of our technical fabrics allows you to tailor face masks to your specific requirements. This includes creating masks with bespoke widths, thicknesses, weights, breathing resistance and air flow – all without compromising high levels of absorbent and filtration performance.

Why do nonwoven fabrics make popular face mask solutions?

As well as greater breathability and comfort, nonwoven fabrics increase the performance of facemasks by collecting dust particles and suppressing organic and acid gas challenges. For mask manufacturers, Nonwoven fabrics provide more flexibility in terms of design and processing options, and cater for a wide variety of substances.

What solutions can Nonwovenn offer in face masks?

Innovation has allowed us to create products that offer:

  • Ultrasonic and thermally welded designs – suitable for flat, fish and cup types.
  • Lightweight polyester and polypropylene bases – to assist in holding activated carbon
  • Thermally bonded bases – an alternative to spunbond
  • Alternative layers – to meltblown products
  • Hydrophobic options

We work closely with you to enhance your products, with peerless levels of protection and safety across a range of applications, including:

Acoustics

We work closely with designers, architects, and manufacturers to create bespoke nonwoven fleeces used in the manufacture of ceiling tiles, helping to absorb unwanted environmental noise.
