Challenge
A leading brand challenged us to optimise their OEE and reduce their high levels of waste when producing pouch products. Without any fabric engineers, the client could not differentiate the pouching equipment faults and the faults caused by their pouching material.
Solution
Our engineers were able to conduct a study through all shifts at this 24/7 operation site. A full Pareto analysis illustrated that the greatest contributors to their poor OEE were a lack of machine maintenance and cleaning schedule.
The result
The client acted on our valuable data to optimise their running and handling conditions. This resulted in a reduction in waste by 7% and improved their OEE by 5%.
