What are the benefits of nonwoven alginates?

Our alginate dressings are derived from a natural polymer in the cell-wall of brown seaweed. This unique material can:

  • Absorb injury exudate and have a high wet integrity
  • Form a hydrophilic gel to protect the wound
  • Manage fluid and create a moist environment to promote healing
  • Support the formation of granular tissue for an extensive range of wound types
